Ofpix, founded by the famous photography blogger Ren Yue, exposed its coming photo book Karamay (克拉美丽) by Yuan Jie, a Chinese emerging photographer, a native of Xinjiang. The book consists of portraits of Uyghurs, which was the result of the visits of more than 30 Uighur families living in Karamay, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China.

Yuan Jie talked about her project -
... the foremost intention of how this project comes from is to break the inherent mindsets towards Uyghur, reveal the fair and bright side of a community. It’s not only for the dignity of Uyghur but also the dignity of Han.
